Citizen V1DA-31A Floppy Drive Repair
This is part 4 of the Toshiba T6400DXC luggable PC repair series. The next step was fixing the internal floppy drive, which is a "Citizen" model V1DA-31A. The drive seemed completely dead, and there were two suspects.
The first suspect is the two 22uF 16V SMD capacitors:

These were leaking so needed replacement regardless, where I used MLCC equivalents in size 1210:

The second suspect and obvious fault was the disintegrated belt which had tied itself up around the motor shaft:

I was not sure about the exact dimensions but found a flat "phi 60 x 0.4 x 1.4" replacement:

The floppy drive came back to life after these fixes.
